The U.S. Embassy and EducationUSA will host three free university fairs across Indonesia to introduce students to the many benefits of higher education in the United States. Approximately, 40 U.S. universities, colleges, and community colleges will participate in the fairs. The university fairs will provide Indonesian students and their parents a chance to learn more about the extensive educational opportunities in the U.S. and fulfill their dream of studying in the United States.
At the EducationUSA University Fairs, students and their parents can learn about different institutions, majors, scholarships, and how to apply for a student visa. The fairs will take place in Surabaya, Jakarta, and Medan at the times and venues below:
- Thursday, February 22, 2-7 pm: Bumi Surabaya City Resort, Surabaya
- Saturday, February 24, 1-4:30 pm: Fairmont Hotel, Jakarta
- Monday, February 26, 2- 7 pm: Grand Aston Hotel, Medan
Ambassador Donovan underscored the importance of international educational exchange, describing it as “one of the most meaningful and productive ways” to strengthen the Strategic Partnership between the United States and Indonesia. “No matter which American college or university you choose, you will earn a degree that is recognized and respected world-wide, opening the door to exciting career opportunities and preparing you to enter today’s global workforce,” he added.
