U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) 2023

The U.S. Embassy in Jakarta is pleased to announce a call for Proposals for the 2023 U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) Program.

AFCP aims to preserve archaeological sites, historic buildings and monuments, museum collections, and forms of traditional cultural expression, such as indigenous languages and crafts. Please note that full implementation of the AFCP 2023 Program is contingent on the availability of funds in fiscal year 2023.

For 20 years, the U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) has supported more than 1,000 projects in 130+ countries. The United States has invested almost USD 1,000,000 dollars in Indonesian cultural preservations projects, including preservation of culinary heritage by Pusaka Rasa Nusantara project and restoration of the Tjong A Fie Mansion in Medan.

Eligible project implementers include non-governmental organizations, museums, educational institutions, ministries of cultures, or similar institutions and organizations, including U.S. – based educational institutional and organizations.

How to Apply:

ROUND 1: Concept Notes

A Concept Note Form (MS Word – 92 KB) must completed in English and submitted via email to: JakartaPASGrants@state.gov (Subject: AFCP 2023 Grants Competition) no later than Dec. 31, 2022 23:59 WIB

  • The Concept Note Form (MS Word – 92 KB) must be completed and visuals need to be attached as separate files (JPEG, PNG, or PDF only).
  • Please do not send e-mail with win.rar and win.zip attachments or links.
  • You may send separate emails if the application does not fit in one email.
  • Proposals sent to any other address or in any different format will be deemed ineligible.

ROUND 2: Full Application Package

Please note that ONLY those applicants whose concept note is selected will be contacted for the second round of the application process. This is a change from past years’ process.

If selected for Round II, you will be asked to submit a full project proposal by March 31, 2023, 23:59 WIB

All contractors must be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to submitting an offer pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. Therefore, prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations/proposals.

RFQ: 191D3221Q0006 Jakarta Post – Solicitation – Cellphone Calls and Internet Data Services Provider

US Embassy Jakarta intends to issue an RFQ for cellphone calls and internet data services provider to the Embassy of the United States of America in Jakarta, U.S. Consulate General Surabaya, U.S. Consulate Medan, and Consular Agency Bali. The anticipated performance is for one base period of twelve months and four one-year option periods, at the option of the Government. Prospective Offeror must be able to comply with all legal and regulatory requirements for operating in Indonesia. Please see the RFQ for submission details and actual response date.

The site visit/pre-proposal conference will be held on-line on March 23rd, 2021 at 10.00 hours local time.  Prospective offerors/quoters interested in attending should email JakContractingOffice-RFP@state.gov or call 5083-1000 press 0, at the latest five (5) days prior to the meeting date.

As required by U.S. Government’s Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Provision 52.2047, SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (July 2013), which will be included in the solicitation, prospective offerors shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at https://www.sam.gov prior to award of a contract. Prospective offerors are encouraged to complete the SAM registration process prior to the submittal of their proposal in response to the solicitation posted.

Important: Quoters may register in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to submission.  The registration may be an extensive process, therefore, interested quoters should conduct the registration as soon as possible.  The SAM number must be provided with the quote.

Award may be made without any discussions, although we will conduct the discussions with offerors within the competitive range if required.
