Application Deadline: Vacancy announcements will be available on the Embassy’s website on December 22, 2023 – January 26, 2024.

Employment Dates: The OSHP will begin on Monday, May 6, 2024, and end on Friday, September 27, 2024. To be eligible for consideration in the program, OSHP student applicants must be available to work for a minimum of two (2) consecutive weeks during that timeframe.

  2. SF-85 form.
  3. Statement of interest (online form).
  4. Copy of passport.

  6. Your parent/sponsor travel order.

Available Positions:

The following employment opportunities are available for the Summer 2024:

Position Title: Seasonal Hire Clerk, FP-EE/FP-DD/FP-CC/FP-BB/FP-AA

Job Overview:
Incumbent is responsible for providing straightforward entry level clerical support to the Mission (both Management and non- Management sections) in an office setting.  Also provides security escort services in non-CAA areas, as needed.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides general clerical support to the assigned office in the form of data entry, preparing documents, replying to emails, scheduling appointments, answering and directing calls; taking messages, photocopying, faxing, scanning, shredding, sorting mail and packages, providing basic coordination of services for assigned area, and other office-related duties.

General support includes escort duties in non-CAA areas where the incumbent is responsible for physically watching contractors by keeping them in their sight and making sure they remain in authorized areas only.  May aid in inventory reconciliation tasks.

May be called upon to assist with special projects such as surveys, events or other post functions as directed.

Requirements for FP-EE/FP-DD:

  • Education: High school student (not yet graduated).
  • No work experience is required.
  • Knowledge of general office and file management procedures.
  • Ability to use MS-Office suite applications.
  • Ability to receive the required clearance from the post RSO.

Requirements for FP-CC:

  • Education: High school diploma (GED).
  • Six (6) months of secretarial, clerical, customer service, administrative experience OR one (1) year of college is required.
  • Knowledge of general office and file management procedures.
  • Ability to use MS-Office suite applications.
  • Ability to receive the required clearance from the post RSO.

Requirements for FP-BB:

  • Education: High school diploma (GED).
  • One (1) year of secretarial, clerical, customer service, administrative experience OR two (2) years of college is required.
  • Knowledge of general office and file management procedures.
  • Ability to use MS-Office suite applications.
  • Ability to receive the required clearance from the post RSO.

Requirements for FP-AA:

  • Education: High school diploma (GED).
  • Two (2) years of secretarial, clerical, customer service, administrative experience OR three (3) years of college is required.
  • Knowledge of general office and file management procedures.
  • Ability to use MS-Office suite applications.
  • Ability to receive the required clearance from the post RSO.
