Environment, Science, Technology, and Health Office

The Environment, Science, Technology, and Health (ESTH) Office supports the work of the Comprehensive Partnership’s Climate and Environment and Energy Working Groups, as well as the EPA-Environment Ministry Joint Committee on Environmental Cooperation, and the implementation of the U.S.-Indonesia bilateral Science and Technology cooperation agreement. Key international environmental priorities are climate change mitigation, biodiversity conservation, pollution, and environmental law enforcement and governance; key science and technology issues include ocean science, biotechnology, and facilitating collaborations between U.S. and Indonesian scientists; and health priorities are collaborative infectious disease research, biosecurity, and improving health service delivery. The office coordinates closely with Government of Indonesia and U.S. Government agencies on policy and programs covering the entire range of environment, science & technology and health engagement.
