International commercial flight options currently exist in Indonesia. U.S. citizens who wish to return to the United States should make commercial arrangements as soon as possible unless they are prepared to remain abroad for an indefinite period. The U.S. government does not currently anticipate arranging repatriation flights in Indonesia at this time.
Our most current information indicates there are 32 commercial flights per week out of Indonesia by which U.S. citizens can return to the United States:
- 24 from Jakarta (13 via Tokyo, 3 via Doha, 1 via Bangkok, 5 via Hongkong, and 2 via Amsterdam)
- 8 from Bali (4 via Doha and 4 via Seoul)
We strongly encourage U.S. citizens, whenever they travel abroad, to enroll their travel plans on www.travel.state.gov using the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP), and to read the country information found on the site.
