Event: To facilitate motorcade movements during the 43rd ASEAN Summit, The Indonesian National Police today closed the following roads from 0700 to 1000 this morning. These roads will be closed again from 1600 to 2200.
- Jalan Sudirman/Thamrin from the Thamrin Fountain (Jl Medan Merdeka Selatan) to Patung Pemuda Membangun (Jl Jenderal Sudirman at Jl Patimura-Senayan)
- HR Rasuna Said in Kuningan
- Gatot Subroto (Kuningan toll gate until Slipi toll gate)
- Imam Bonjol Kuningan until the Hotel Indonesia circle
Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan has also been closed to vehicular traffic until 1000;. Public transportation services, such as Transjakarta, MRT, and others, will continue to operate as usual.
Actions to Take if in Jakarta:
Prepare alternative transportation methods to navigate road closures; e.g. bus, bicycle, or public transit.
Consider limiting business or activities in the Central Business District during the September 2nd-7thtimeframe.
