On Saturday, October 21, General Gatot Nurmantyo and his wife were delayed in their ability to board their flight due to an administrative error. The error was quickly corrected. We have taken appropriate measures to prevent this matter from occurring again. There is no restriction on the General’s or his wife’s travel, and we welcome them to the United States.
We remain committed to our Strategic Partnership with Indonesia as a way to deliver security and prosperity to both our nations. We regret the inconvenience caused, and have communicated this to the Government of Indonesia.
