On June 23, Deputy Chief of Mission Kristen Bauer hosted a welcome home reception for 85 Youth Exchange & Study (YES) Program participants. These recently returned alumni spent a year studying at U.S. high schools. They shared heartwarming stories and impressions of their time traveling, making friends, and living with American host families. Participating students hail from all corners of Indonesia and lived with host families in cities and towns all over the United States. Print, online, and TV outlets attended and interviewed YES students about their experiences living in the United States.
